Job Overview: A farm is located near Bromhead, SK and is looking for a full-time John Deere Agricultural Mechanic. They are a progressive 12,000-acre farm that grows wheat, durum, canola, mustard, peas, and lentils. This family farm has a 50′ x 100′ heated shop to work in and has a team of four full-time employees as well as four part-time employees.

What You’ll Do: Repair and maintain John Deere equipment. In season work may include operating machinery. Offseason work includes moving snow in the oilfield, loading rail cars and much more. There is plenty of work for the right individual!

What You’ll Need: Mechanically inclined and experienced working with John Deere equipment. A team player attitude but be able to work independently. A strong work ethic. Ability to weld. Class 1A license is an asset. CPR and H2S training is an asset. The farm is flexible with time off during the offseason and they do not work on Sunday’s.

 Duties would include but are not limited to:
 Co-ordinate, assign perform &
supervise maintenance duties on farm machinery,
equipment and buildings
 Perform adjustments in settings to equipment used in seeding and harvesting of various crops Maintain a functional, orderly and clean workshop
Procure repair parts and workshop supplies
 Keep tools in good working order, organized and secure
 Keep accurate and complete maintenance and repair records
Operate a full range of medium to very large farm equipment
