Job duties:
  • Co-ordinate, assign and supervise the work of farm workers and seasonal labourers
  • Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
  • Supervise, monitor and enforce procedures to maintain animal and crop health and welfare
  • Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
  • Supervise maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
  • Develop and adhere to work schedules and establish company procedures
  • Ensure farm safety and security and procedures are followed
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, irrigate and harvest crops
  • Feed and tend to livestock
  • Perform or assist in performing breeding activities of farm animals
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Detect disease and health problems in crops and livestock
  • Maintain or assist in the maintenance of facilities and farm infrastructure including cleaning stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
Terms of employment: Full- time permanent
Wage: $25.00 per hour
Language: Must be able to read, write & speak some English
Relocation: The cost of travel will be covered from the employee’s home to the work location and round trip to the employee’s home
Experience: Previous farm or ranching knowledge required; previous exposure to farm life and experience as a farm supervisor or ranching foreman
