Come join our team as a Full-time permanent Food and Beverage Manager in one of the best Restaurants in Ottawa.

Job Duties:

• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, food, and beverage service
• Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
• Recruit staff and oversee staff training
• Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
• Control inventory, monitor revenues, and modify procedures and prices
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
• Responsible for ensuring an excellent guest experience. 
• Lead, organize  and support the servers, bartenders, hostesses and bus-persons in the fulfillment of their duties. 
• Coordinate their efforts with the General manager, Cellarmaster, Kitchen manager and Head chef.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management 
• Several years of experience in the foodservice sector, including supervisory experience.
• Able to work evenings and late into the night on Fridays and Saturdays.

Job duties:

• Responsible for the operation of the milking parlor. 
• This includes setup preparation, milking cows, and cleaning of the work areas. 
• Moving cows to and from the milking parlor
• Cleaning of the cow resting areas and feed bunk feed pushups. 
• The candidate must possess a calm demeanor with a desire to work with animals. 
• Previous farm work experience would be an asset

• Basic English is required
• High standard of cleanliness and hygiene
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Job Description:

• Prepare soil; seeds and cuttings; and transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings as per requirements
• Spray tree seedlings to prevent disease and pests if required
• Position irrigation systems to water nurseries and fields
• Dig, cut and transplant trees, shrubs, and prepare them for sale
• Provide information to customers on the care of trees and shrubs
• May operate tractors and other machinery and equipment to cultivate fields,  harvest genetic material and trees seedlings
• Maintain inventory and order materials as required
• Clean working areas
• Minimum of 32 hours a week

 

 

Job Requirements:

• Physically fit
• Attention to details
• Love of the outdoors
• Be able to lift 40 pounds repetitively
• Able to work in all-season conditions outside
• Ok with getting dirty
• Secondary school
• Willing to train
• Produce Soil Amendments, and seedling protection from recycled materials
