Job Duties:
- Under the direction of the site foreman: move/haul material, pull water lines, fire caulking,thread pipe and assist with any other tasks required.
- Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
- Work independently to thread pipe, install laundry boxes, with supervision:begin drainage, soldering, assembling tub valves and assist with any other tasks required. (training will be provided)
- Keep work areas clean, remove and dispose of old material and bring new material for trades people to install.
- Get tools for trades people as required as well as clean tools before putting back
- Complete tasks that trades people require to ensure task is completed quickly and accurately
- Work in a fast environment with various trades and people
- Accept and action direction from a supervisor
- Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strength, stamina and the use of proper lifting techniques required to handle heavy tools and
- parts weighing up to 25 kilograms
- Ability to visualize a finished product from a document
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and do some moderately heavy lifting and carrying
- Ability to work in high, awkward and noisy places
- Ability to work alone or with others
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs several times through a day
- The ability to contribute to a highly team-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills
- Safety conscience
Wage Offered: 20.00 - 23.00 CAD per hour
