• Splice and repair various types and sizes of telephone and other telecommunication cables including single line, coaxial, dc, and fibre optic
• Inspect and test telecommunication transmission lines and cables for transmission characteristics and to locate faults and report as required 
• Analyze and record test results - Azimuth and Sweeps 
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures or work in confined spaces such as trenches while following safety procedures 
• Communicate with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments 
• Assist in the erection and removal of telecommunication poles, towers, and associated support structures as required 
• May operate elevated platforms and other equipment 

Job requirements:

• College program in electronics is an asset 
• Four-year telecommunications line and cable apprenticeship program is an asset 
• Excellent English skills
• Punctual 
• Able to work with heights 
• Willing to work in all seasons outside - winter work!
