Travel information for temporary workers

While Government of Canada is gradually easing border measures provided that Canada’s COVID-19 epidemiology remains favourable, restrictions limiting travel to Canada are still in place. Even if you have a valid work permit, you may not be able to travel to Canada at this time.

Visit IRCC’s foreign workers webpage before you make travel plans, and again before departing for Canada, to avoid being denied boarding or entry in Canada. The page contains important information on:

  • How travel restrictions affect temporary workers
  • How to bring your immediate family members with you
  • Health requirements for travellers, which includes pre-arrival, arrival and post-arrival testing
  • Mandatory guidelines for travel to Canada, including the usage of the ArriveCAN application for checking in and crossing the border (please make sure you are using the latest, updated version of ArriveCan).

Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
